Akira: Hi,
Emily, I spent whole weekend for visiting 'nd checking your female
musturbation
source site, Cliterati.co.uk.
I found tons fantasies like wanky stories in different categories
like Teasers • Straight Sex • Lesbian
and Bi, Group • Submission & Domination • Taboo • By
Men, etc etc,,,
1st, When you launched your site ? Did you do something similar
before ? & also How you got into this specialized "Sexual" domain
???
Emily: I launched Cliterati.co.uk on
August 31st 2000. I've always been interested in female attitudes
to sex - I studied female sexual fantasies for my degree (Social
Psychology at Loughborough University), have read a lot of Nancy
Friday over the years and have watched the massive growth
of Black
Lace Books (erotic books for women) with interest, particularly
because porn mags for women featuring naked pics have generally
failed. I've worked in internet marketing and editorial since
the mid 1990's and sites that succeed generally fill gaps in
the market. I saw this gap in the market because we (the other
cliterati founders and I) could only find erotica sites that
also included nude
pics, underage sex stories and/or non-consensual activity.
This was a big turn-off for us. We thought a sex site designed
by women, for women would be more likely to press the right buttons
so decided to build one !
Our objective is to help promote the message that female masturbation
and sexual fantasies are normal, sex is fun and safe
sex is important - and most importantly, give women some decent masturbation
material. Sex education is also a key part of the site.
A: After you have studied female sexual fantasies, how your life
and Sexual behavior changed ? (or not ?) I am sure, you feel
more happy and are more opened to share pleasure with other(s).
and also, what your method to study sexuality was ?
E: I'm more open with sexual partners - tell them what I like and ask what they
like - but I think that's as much to do with getting older and more confident.
I've got a lot more sex toys because I get sent lots of review copies. And I
tend to have a lot more people coming to me for sex advice because they know
I'm not phased or embarrassed talking about it. I studied sexual fantasy at university
as part of a social psychology degree. It was a mixture of qualitative and quantitative
analysis.
A: Clitoris x
literati = "Cliterati", aha ? Getting ideaz from others to wank off through
your internet site is perfectly corresponding with the modern needs of
general young females,,, Our Human brain's Imagination power is unlimited
to
create Virtual
universe beyond the real world.
Women's fantasy is very
diferent from men's
fantasy to reach sexual orgasm, I guess.
Which kind of sexual fantasy make woman Horny generally, & also
can you give us tip and knack for Male writer (more deeper than
in your site page tips) ???
i.e. Let us know the best 5 stories in your site...
E: Yep, it is Clitoris + Literati blended together - well spotted. Male
and female fantasies are more similar than you might expect. Common
female fantasies include lesbian encounters, threesomes,
sub/dom, exhibitionism, sex
with a stranger - the list is endless. A third of women get
off on the idea of watching men have sex with each other.
See THIS
FANTASY.
For a poll we ran on popular fantasies. Generally, don't just stick to
physical description; make sure that there's a build up of flirtation.
Don't give all the blokes huge cocks - it's something men tend to be
far more concerned about than women are, when it comes to stories, in
my experience. Write
honestly. Chances are if it turns you on,
it will turn someone else on too. You can base it on an event that happened
in reality and turned your partner on, or on phone sex you've had or
on total fantasy. All women are different; there's no one thing that
will
get all women off. As to the five best stories, it's entirely subjective
- there are thousands of stories on the site. One of my favourites that
was written by a man is:
THIS FANTASY.
Because it's got a good twist and is well written.
ANOTHER
FANTASY is also good - not overtly sexual but very honest, which a
great thing in writing.
A: This is very interesting that you told me "Male and female
fantasies are more similar than you might expect.". uuuhm,,,
my mum could have similar fantasy with mine,,, Oh, Can you explain
me
more
bout modern history of female
fantasy ?
E: I wouldn't guarantee that your mum doesn't have similar fantasies to yours
- you'd be really surprised ! We've had women in their sixties write in asking
how they can juggle several lovers or send in deeply erotic fantasies. Historically,
women like Pauline
Reage (though there is some controversy over whether she really was a woman
or whether it was a man writing under a pseudonymn) and Anais
Nin wrote great erotica for women but female sexual fantasy was really
a taboo subject until 1974 when Nancy
Friday researched and wrote a great book
called 'My
Secret Garden'. She had hate-mail about it and even people like Helen
Gurley Brown - then editor of Cosmopolitan - said that women didn't fantasise.
However, Nancy Friday carried on writing and opened people's eyes to the whole
area. More recently, people like Rachel
Silver have studied women's fantasies. It's still a comparatively new area
though.
A: I think every body's looking for the relation like soul
to soul as human but obiously not easy in real
life.
I checked "polls in system" in yr site pages,
found the average visiters in your site are quite open & ready for naughty
sexual act,,,
Human being,,,we are quite curious, aren't we ?
Do
you think why people's looking for the Fantastic story just for masturbation ?
E: We are driven
by boredom to have normal
sex or just easy way to get orgasm ? I think it depends on the person;
some acts are appealing in fantasy but not in reality. Others are fun to
try and it's up to the individual to decide what's for them. A lot more
goes on behind closed doors than you might expect - but at the same time,
many people are very happy with 'vanilla'
sex, and why the hell not? It's all good fun!
A: Indeed, Our modern society has culturally saturated since
long and we really don't need to have sex to make a baby, do
we ? Comparing
with traditional
African culture like female genital mutilation at teenage to
control woman's masturbation physically in social level,
your opinion like " give women some decent masturbation
material",
this sounds quite extremely Radical and Decadence too.
E: We don't pretend to be that. There are many fantastic organisations tackling
the numerous issues out there, many of whom we've written about in our news or
features sections. No company can do everything but we are always willing to
cover organisations who are doing good things and help them publicise their cause.
As we make more money, we plan to invest in more 'serious' projects. We've already
run fundraisers for Terrence
Higgins Trust and give free advertising to sexual health charities.
Encouraging
female masturbation isn't decadent and shouldn't be radical - male masturbation
has been accepted for years. Many women haven't had orgasms or enjoyed sex and
masturbation is a way to learn how to enjoy your own sexuality - something that
is an important part of life.
A: When I am talking bout what "Fantasy" IS. Fantasy is kinda story
unrealizable, isn't it ? If easily You can make it come true, it ll NOT excite
U aha ? .. so this is fantasy.
E: I disagree. Some fantasy is fun because it could never happen. Other fantasies
can be closer to memories of fantastic experiences or are things that you'd like
to happen but haven't had the chance to do yet.
A: I feel a bit extreamity like,,, uum,,, kinda
sex
addiction when I simply imagine the woman with Huge
Solid Steel Dildo,,,,
wel,
I
am
not
saying that Dildo
is
sexual
apocalypstic
symbol,
however
also when I just imagine if my mum or sister's having sex with "sex
machine" or "Fucking
Machine", (please check male
version too), I can not control kinda contradiction inside myself
with the origin of my self- existance.... My
mum prefare to maturbate with Sex Machine than real sex with my
dad,
I would have a lil doubt bout the reason why I was born in this chaotic
universe ???
E: Do you mean why do women need vibrato
as well as erotic material? If so, it's because sex isn't purely physical
- the brain is the most important sexual organ in the body. It's not down
to preference - you
can do both.
A: I can not still give up to say that Mastubation is NOT "Natural".
If I have been in Poligamy society like
African tribe , and have 5 wives,,, Obiously, I will do NOT masturbation.
E: I disagree. Sex and masturbation aren't the same thing. Masturbation
*is* natural and doesn't negate sex; it's self love.
A: If One woman has 3-4 men who can give her good sex, she will
NOT masturbate, does she ?
E: Yes, she does. Lots of people are intimidated when they find
out that their partner masturbates but there's no need to; it's
not because
you're not getting
enough sex. It's because it feels nice !
A: In our modern society, I saw many woman getting sexual life
like man but they often seems not realy happy in heart. Woman
need more
confidence
on herself and
needs "Be loved" feelings more than man (possibly this
is MY own fantasy !?! haaaa !!! )
E: :-) It varies from woman to woman. In my experience, there
are as many men who want intimacy as women, and there are certainly
many
women who want to have
sex without complication - less so, because it's still taboo and there's
the stigma of being 'a slut' but it's an ever-growing number.
A: Uuuhm... "the brain is the most important sexual organ in the body",,,, Personally,
Through my
soulful sexual exprience(s), I
could say, for many people it's NOT true.
Our whole body Could be total sexual
organ
and Sense itself.
On the other hand, My
good
buddies are French
sexologist, Psychiatlist or psychologist. Often they say that they are more
horny with reading or imagining erotic story than
having real sex.
E: That's exactly *why* the brain is the most important sexual organ in the body.
For good sex, if the brain isn't involved then it is far weaker than if it is.
Of course, there's that sex that transcends consciousness but that's still about
establishing a close mental connection.
A: Your project is a bit different from domain of Sexology., I
mean, your site is more "fun" and not really for healing
the people who has disability of sexual orgasm, isn't it ? do you
have any feed back from the people who has sexual problems ?
E: We've had letters of thanks from women who suffer from orgasmic dysfunction
who have found the fantasies have helped them feel more sexual/achieve orgasm.
However, we don't pretend to be a site for people with specific medical issues.
We don't give specific medical advice as that should be given by a GP on an individual
basis.
A: I have a female friend who can get easily an orgasm via Masturbation
but never in
real
sex.
She was quite interested in Taoist
sexual Massages and she really want to share her oragsm with real humans
male. After her BF gave her Tantiric
magic, she got massive transcendental sensation by virgianal
penetration.
some my female buddies say, they are focusing male's ejaculation
inside vagina at getting orgasm together, they have hardly been satisfied with
masturbation material like to get real sensation to be Loved.
E: Love can obviously intensify sexual experiences - and orgasm isn't essential
for good, or even great sex. However, masturbation is a normal human thing to
do and isn't the same thing as sex; it's about physical release whereas sex can
be so much more.
A: Do you ever have had or heard bout tantra
sex or anyother extra-terrestial sexual experiences
even with Drugs or Heavy accident ?
E: I've heard about it but don't talk about my own sex
life because it's something that I'd rather keep for me
and whoever
shares my bed (or wherever)
A: How bout your fantasy personally ?
E: I've written hundreds for cliterati so they're far too
varied to pick just one!
A: Okay, back to fact. I found some High-Tech
Dildo things in your
shop pages. Can you recommend us any technology or
tools to make much sexual orgasm for women like The clitoral
stimulator designed by Liz Paul or G-spot
collagen injection ???
E: I wouldn't recommend any form of surgery to
improve your sex life unless it was recommended by a GP. Regular masturbation,
with toys and without, is the best way to improve your sex life; it helps you
learn what you want and means you can show your partner what you want them to
do. However, in terms of toys, the Jessica Rabbit is amazing and deserves its
reputation. The
Audi-oh sound controlled vibrator is fun and a bit different, and the wireless
remote controlled toys coming out now are good for playing with your partner
- give them the remote and then go out somewhere noisy enough for the vibration
to go unheard...
A:
Al these phenomenons around "Sex 'nd Masturbation" are reflection of our human
society, aren't
they ?
SO what is real Future vision of female Masturbationz ???
E: That it's as accepted as much as male masturbation is and not seen as abnormal
Freedom like fantasy is Not just concept, we are revoluating ourself now !!!!
A: your PHP styles BBS site is Lovely,,, how many people your
web-team are ? You have web masterz or any other Cliterati crew
?
E: It's designed in Geeklog and has one tech developer - John
Handelaar
I do the day to day site updates and then we have a flexible team of about five
people at any time, but constantly changin'.
A: What is yr next Plan after Cliterati ?
E: Who knows! I'm a sex writer for various newspapers and
magazines, do a fortnightly radio slot and have just started
to get into
TV, so something
media-related. Writing is my love so I'd hope to carry
on writing articles and video scripts (I wrote the last
Lovers' Guide
video - see THIS
SITE (for details), finish one of the novels I've started
and maybe write some non-fiction sex books. I'd like to
do a sex-related phD at some
stage, probably from a psychology angle as that's what
I studied at university. But who knows what the future
holds. I tend
to take things as they come...
A: ThX, Emily. ... Let's ENJOY and KEEP SAFE-SEXING.
